What to Expect as a New Patient

Taking the first step can feel intimidating. We strive to make the process as simple and transparent as possible.

01

Initial Contact

Reach out via our website or phone. We'll discuss availability and ensure our clinic is a good fit for your needs.

02

Intake & Registration

Complete consent forms and symptom questionnaires before your visit to help us understand your history.

03

Comprehensive Evaluation

A detailed review of your history, symptoms, and goals, followed by diagnostic impressions and options.

04

Treatment Plan

Together, we create a personalized plan that may include medication, therapy, or lifestyle changes.

05

Follow-Up

Regular appointments to monitor progress, adjust treatments, and provide ongoing support.

Office Policies

Appointment Scheduling & Cancellations

We value your time and ours. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid any associated late fees. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need.

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to schedule future visits.

Prescription Refills

Please request refills at least 3 business days before you run out of medication. We encourage requesting refills during your appointments.

Communication

For non-urgent matters, please use our secure patient portal or email. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days.

Emergencies

Prudence Psychiatry is an outpatient clinic and does not provide 24-hour emergency services. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest ER immediately. You may also contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
